Those were the old days when you need to install plugin or some extensions to display twitter updates on blogs or website. Twitter launched twitter-widgets which is compatible with any website. Just grab the code as per the this tutorial and use it on your Blog or Site page.

How to get twitter widget code:

Follow this link and select the widget type which you would like to display on your blog.

For this tutorial I am selecting the search widget which I used for my blog on the front page to search “#blogEngine” hash tag. You can choose any profile, search or any other widget for your site.

Twitter widget is very handy you can customize it as per your site theme and space. Test your settings with test button and after completing all customization click on “Finish & Grab Code” button. It will give you a script code which you can place any where on your site.

How to add twitter widget code to Blog:

Adding the twitter widget code on blogEngine.Net is very easy. What you need to do is just add Text Box widget at your desirable place. Don’t add any thing in this text box. It will look like as following.

Now click on the Edit link, it will open html editor. You do not need to paste the code directly in the editor else it will displayed as a text on the site. So do one thing click on the html button on the left top, it will open a popup as below:

Now paste the script code into the html editor and save it. Here you go your twitter widget will start displaying on your blogEngine.Net
